Meet this week’s #HogeyeHopeful, Bobby Le. He is not shy about wearing a costume while he runs.
Business Solutions Manager at Kellogg
When and WHY did you start running?
I started with the Couch-2-5k program in 2013 to get into better shape and lose a little weight.
Where do you prefer to run?
I love running on trails but have a good mix of pavement and dirt during the week.
Do you have a favorite route?
I love changing it up. It helps keep things fresh.
What was your “I’M A RUNNER!” moment?
The moment I crossed the finish line of my first half marathon, the Hogeye in 2014, I knew that was just the start.
If you could go back and give yourself a piece of advice as a beginner, what would it be?
Start sooner and progress smartly.
Do you have any racing superstitions or traditions?
I have a Pop-Tart and listen to Eminem’s Lose Yourself before every race.
Do you run solo or with a group?
I run mostly in groups, but at least once a week, I try to go out for a long solo run.
Why do you run the Hogeye?
Hogeye will always have a special place in my heart because it was my first half marathon and the start to my madness.
What makes it special? How many times have you run part of the Hogeye?
It was my first. I have completed three Hogeye halfs and one Hogeye full.
