The 40th Annual Hogeye Marathon and Relays has included the Hogeye Kids Runs to the 2016 festivities.

The races will be held at 2 p.m. on April 9 at Kohl’s in Fayetteville. There will be a 1 mile and a 2.4 mile run. All finishers will receive a t-shirt, medal and goodies. All children, ages 5-13, are eligible for participation.

The Hogeye Marathon is an annual event hosted by Hogeye Marathon & Relays, Inc. The marathon benefits an assortment of local non-profit organizations which support the Northwest Arkansas community.

The Hogeye Marathon was initiated in 1977, since the marathon has been rerouted to include picturesque views of the Fayetteville area. The event will begin at 7 a.m. and will include the traditional marathon, a half-marathon, relays, kid’s runs, a guest speaker, a health and fitness expo, and the annual pasta dinner. The marathon will start at the Fayetteville Square and finish at Wilson Park. Bill Rodgers, National Track & Field Hall of Famer, will be the guest speaker.

Hogeye Marathon & Relays, Inc. is excited to celebrate its 40th annual event and encourages community members and families to participate!
