When and WHY did you start running?
Ran with roomate I had in 1981, was already bicycling 20 miles/day. He said; why not try running, I ran 3 miles with him and after that it was 7 miles a night 6 days a week for 6 years.
Where do you prefer to run? Do you have a favorite route?
Favorite route was up to Mt. Sequoyah and back to South Sang, lots of hills.
What was your “I’M A RUNNER!” moment?
The first night; I loved running with my friends.
If you could go back and give yourself a piece of advice as a beginner, what would it be?
Stretch out before running for at least 10 minutes before each run.
What motivates you in running? Medals? PRs? Fitness?
Do you have any racing superstitions or traditions?
Lots of carbs night before a 10K or marathon.
Do you run solo or with a group?
I use to run with a group.
Why do you run the Hogeye? What makes it special? Are you running the Hogeye this year?
It was always Special back in the 80s; not running this year.
